This auction is for a Vintage F.E. Olds 1920's Professional model trombone.
This is a very early example of the FE Olds trombone.
The bell is marked serial number M 1539 and
is almost 7 inches wide.  This piece is about 100 years old.
The trombone serial number marked is M 3572.
The M is for medium bore.
Mouthpiece is marked "Olds 12C"
Made in Los Angeles.

This was
owned for many years by a previous neighbor of mine - a wonderful gentleman who played it in a local orchestra for years.  I recall him saying he replaced the original bell with the current one because it was in better condition.
